America condemned Russia’s sham presidential election as “not free or fair” after early results showed Vladimir Putin won 87% of the vote, allowing him another six-year term. Also, Mr Putin said he had agreed to a prisoner swap involving Alexei Navalny before his death in prison last month.

Xinjiang 新疆 is not Xizang 西藏
Xinjiang 新疆 (where many locals identify as East Turkistan 東突厥斯坦) is not Xizang 西藏 (traditionally and locally Tibet 圖博).
Also, despite their Sino-centric connotations, both 新疆 and 西藏 have been used officially for centuries from Qing dynasty.
