14. Welcome to the Anti-Hustle Culture Movement with Lauren of Brand Good Time CEO-ish Podcast

    • Society & Culture

In Episode #14 Chloe and Taylor are joined by Lauren of Brand Good Time. She's a marketing and business mentor who helps busy AF, service providing entrepreneurs ditch the overwhelm, avoid burnout, and scale their business through innovative and sustainable strategies.

Lauren is no stranger to being busy, and her aggressive corporate background led to a toxic "working 24/7" mindset. She was working 24/7, answering emails at all hours of the day, constantly working while on "vacation" and PTO, and thrived off of being needed by her clients. It wasn't until Lauren's body and mental health started shutting down that she know she had to make a change, prioritize herself, and start reworking her mindset on what it meant to be busy.

Lauren unpacks her journey from corporate to six-figure agency owner, to selling said agency and coming back full circle on entrepreneurship and where she is today - a badass entrepreneur living her best life in the sunshine state, which now include 20 hour work weeks, lots of houseplants, and ample free time to dedicate to herself and hobbies.

We also talk about:

What led to her toxic mentality surrounding work
How motivational Pinterest boards filled with inspirational quotes contributed to hustle culture
Signs of being overworked
Feeling stuck in your career
Tips for how you can shift from a "hustle" to a "work smarter not hard" and more efficient workflow
Lauren's favorite self-care product under $50

Chloe and Taylor's Favorite of the Week: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze Styling Wax

Small Business Shoutout: Lily Lund Ceramics
