140: How to Celebrate Yourself & Receive Without Guilt with Dr. Neeta Bhushan The Brave Table with Dr. Neeta Bhushan

    • Mental Health

"I think that for a lot of us, it's hard to receive because we're always the ones giving."
- Dr. Neeta Bhushan

Hey there, Brave Table Family! It’s my birthday week and I couldn’t think of a better way to start the celebrations!
In this episode, I talk about….
The personal growth in learning to fully receive compliments and gestures of kindness. The cultural aspect of receiving and the challenges it poses for different generations. The importance of creating a culture of celebration and appreciation for others.

Now, let's get real. Receiving can be a real challenge for many of us. Raise your hand if you're always the one giving, or it's hard to accept help, or even a heartfelt compliment. Trust me, I've been there too.

Feeling like we need to create value for others and struggling to feel worthy of receiving is something so many of us battle with. But here's the thing: before we can truly embrace those celebrations and gestures of kindness, we need to feel safe and supported.

I hope this episode helps you to allow yourself to do just that–to be vulnerable and open to receiving the love and care you deserve, Queen!
