No one knows why it is in the Bible. It isn't referred to anywhere else, except for in the apocrypha.
In the Additions to Daniel, an angel grabs Habakkuk by the hair and carries him from Judah to Babylon, where he feeds Daniel in the lions' den some of his homemade stew and bread.
