Lord, You pave a way when all I can see is the thick of pain and the prison that keeps me from where I want to be.
Your promise still stands even though I fall from my promises.
Why do You keep coming back for me?
You never leave me nor forsake me. But I have cursed you, spit on your ideas, and left your side many times.
Yet You’ve never failed me.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Just one word! Empower our hearts to feel Your presence. Help me to live by faith and not by sight.
You’ve written my name in glory. I choose to claim it and You, Lord.
May I not hide from Your truths and embrace the changes You have in store for me. Let the walls around me fall, chains be broken, and my heart renewed with Your blessings.
Just one word.
And I choose that word to be You, Lord.
The Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
taking, as Jesus did,
this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will;
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Draw close to God so He, too, can draw close to you.
