287: Handling Conflict and Mastering Tough Conversations With Customers and Employees with Elisabeth Robinson The Profitable Play Podcast

THIS is one of those episodes that make me wish I could hop in a time machine back to 2015 when I was opening my business with what I know after this conversation. Knowing how to handle conflict and how to master difficult conversations with confidence would have saved me SO much anxiety, stress, and ALL the negative consequences that came from NOT having this perfected.

Our guest on the show today is Elisabeth Robinson of “Mastering Difficult Conversations”.

Elisabeth’s mission is to help people and businesses overcome pre-conversation anxiety and build confidence. Effective communication is a crucial skill in both personal and professional life, and today, Elisabeth is going to give us some really practical tips regarding how we can tackle conflict head-on and become better leaders in our business.

 And Elisabeth also owned multiple brick and mortar bakery businesses so she has an amazing perspective as both an entrepreneur and highly trained and experienced HR professional to help guide us in this tricky area.

Today we are covering everything– from handling conflict with difficult customers, to handling issues with employees, and even navigating conflict BETWEEN employees– because I don’t know about you, but one thing I will always point to as something that shocked me about owning an indoor playground was just how much time and energy I would spend managing my team and hiring, training, firing– everything that comes with having support staff. 

It blew me away just how all-consuming that was, and like I said, I really wish I knew then what I know now and Elisabeth is going to walk us through all of it step by step.
