3: Let’s Talk Loneliness with Emily Elizabeth The Wondering Mind

    • Mental Health

This weeks episode is all about the unhealthy ways that I, along with many others, cope--past and present--with loneliness. I go over some useful tactics that you can utilize in your daily life to help you work through and improve your coping skills when you start to feel lonely.
These tactics were provided to me by Amanda Villaveces a licensed marriage and family therapist and the Co-Founder of Mental Health Lou, along with NAMI Louisville, The Pete Foundation and Shannon Gonter LPCC.
Mental Health Lou is an organization here in Louisville Ky that promotes ways to decrease the stigma and promote mental health awareness. We all feel lonely at some point in our life, and with the current circumstance of social isolation, we might as well talk about how we're feeling and let it be known that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
