Elvis Biopics! 1979’s Kurt Russell vs 2022’s Austin Butler
Time to put your hair in a pompadour, get that curl in your lip, get into your best sequined jumpsuit and get your hips movin' because today we watch #Elvis! These two films couldn't be more different and we'll tell you why. Not too mention revealing our favorite hits of the King. From the 1979 made for TV Elvis!, directed by John Carpenter and starring Kurt Russell as the titular King of Rock & Roll, to the 2022 Baz Luhrman Austin Butler version told through the eyes of Colonel Tom Parker (played by Tom Hanks). So we got more Elvis than we know what to do with this week! Are you ready for some fantastic music and killer hair? The '40 Going On 14' boys are ready to rock, even though Elvis has left the building.
Pair that up with some listener email, discussion on where all of our listeners are from #InternationalPodcastDay and of course SUPERTRAIN and you've got a hunka-hunka burning pod!

Teen Revenge 2 – Cruel Intentions vs Do Revenge!
Revenge is a dish best served cold or with a side of mushrooms. Listener Nikki suggested we talk about the 1999 teen classic, 'Cruel Intentions' and compare it to the brand new release from Netflix, 'Do Revenge'. We're coming out from hiding under the table, as the spiders are finally going away, to discuss these rich kid revenge stories. We couldn't say no when we realized that Sarah Michelle Gellar couldn't say no and was in both projects. Somebody is going to pay for the things we say in this show. Let's just hope that we don't end up the same way as Sebastian and try and stop a speeding car with our face.
Join us this week as we meander through the past, finding out about Joel's love of #BronskiBeat old #Nickelodeon GaS, the Pet Shop Boys with Dusty Springfield and of course Haile Gebrselassie. We add another #Revenge movie show, to go on the wall with our #Heathers vs #MeanGirls show!

Pinocchio! Disney’s 1940 version vs the 2022 Remake!
I'm a real boy! Not yet. Before you can reach your goal, you first have to watch the original 1940 '#Pinocchio' and the Tom Hanks re-telling from 2022. Only after this can you achieve your real-boyness. At least that's what the blue fairy told us. However, we think she may be just be wanting to sell us an extended car warranty.
The "gross" Jiminy Cricket
Light up your cigars and grab a monster glass of beer, as we're going full donkey on this episode. To be honest, this may be our best episode ever, about the greatest films ever made! (He means Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night!) Wait, what do you mean that my nose is growing?

Dirty Dancing, Which Johnny Castle Comes Out On Top? 1987 vs 2017
Once upon a time there was a corner. In that corner was Johnny Castle. Why was Johnny in that corner? Because nobody puts Baby Houseman there! That's right, we're dancing all dirty-like as we grab Patrick Swayze and Abigail Breslin and spin them around the floor like we just buffered it clean. While 'Dirty Dancing' may be a classic piece of nostalgia, the made for TV film may just be a piece of something else. Turn up that amazing soundtrack and pull out your authentic, autographed Jennifer Grey cardboard standup and let's dance like there's no tomorrow. This show may just be the reason that you've had the time of your life.... or it may be why you'll never look at Fred Armisen and Eleanor Bergstein the same way again.

A League of Their Own
We're back, baby!
After a long and much needed hiatus, we are all here and all ready to roll. For this return to the field, we're taking on the Rockford Peaches and 'A League of Their Own'. Will the brand new, 2022 Amazon Prime series be able to swing for the fences like the original 1992 film with Gena Davis and Tom Hanks? Only Abbi Jacobson and D'arcy Carden know for sure.
There's no crying in baseball!Jimmy Dugan
Put on your baseball cap, grab some peanuts and Cracker Jack and head on out to the stands. We're up at bat and ready to steal home!
I'm getting mixed signals
Join the guys this week as we discuss our return to recording, Pat's housing situation, Sir Mix-A-Lot and symphony orchestras, Jennette McCurdy and her career among other things!
Not missing out on PLL, love the IKWYDLS ep
I Know What You Did Last Summer improves the formula, PLL was brining and unnecessarily drawn out. Want you to cover up to the finale of IKWYDLS, has an amazing ending imo.
Highly recommend and it gives great positive vibes!
Love this show
It's like siting around and chatting with you best friends.
The group is great together and the format of then and now is great, plus I've more than tripled my knowledge of cricket (what's a sticky wicked again?)
