She has dedicated her life to Fragile X Research with 40 years of working in the Fragile X field. Dr. Hagerman, her husband, Dr. Paul Hagerman, and their research team are the discoverers of Fragile X-associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS), a late-onset neurodegenerative disorder.
