6: Pride and Prejudice High Expectasians

Episode 6 of High Expectasians is, unfortunately, not about Jane Austen's 1813 novel Pride and Prejudice. Thanks to our lovely co-host Sanil for coming up with such a punny name for our episode where we talk about the issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community. Although pride month has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, it is still so important to bring to light the many issues surrounding the LGBTQ+ community, especially within the Asian community.

We are really excited to have Hamza join us and share with us his personal experience and journey as a gay Asian man; from coming out to his parents to the difficulties he faces with dating etc.

p.s. due to COVID-19, we had to record at our respective homes so the audio quality of each person is not the same. Further, last year was the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall, not 2020. Sorry about that!
