8. Did I Just Say Something Racist‪?‬ Grace and Race

    • Christianity

Ever said something and then immediately wondered, “Was that racist?” If the question comes up, then the answer may be yes.

It’s easy to say things from a place of kindness and blissful ignorance that bring up old wounds of white supremacy ingrained deep in the fabric of our nation’s flag. In this episode, we dive into a hand full of microagressions—statements of indirect discrimination to a racial group. Many of us have said them, many times without even knowing it. So the best thing we can do is learn what they are, why they’re hurtful, and intentionally change our language so that rather than upholding subtle racism, we fight it head first.
