To fear God means to be in awe of Him, to respect and to revere Him. The Bible has many examples of feeling in awe of God--Moses was in awe of God and His power when he parted the Red Sea to bring the Israelites out of captivity in Egypt. Similarly, the disciples were in awe of Jesus when He commanded a raging storm to be still. Where do we feel awe in our lives?

Kayla Willis, our Director of College Life and Discipleship, breaks down the beauty and mystery of baptism in the context of the Gospel, and the students and their sponsors share about how the Lord has paved the way to the day of their baptism. Jeff Lakin, one of our Elders and a member of the teaching team, leads the students and congregation in our baptism liturgy for the affirmation of faith.

Christ is risen, indeed! Because of Jesus' resurrection from the dead, we find ourselves fully alive by encountering Him. The faith of a true Christian is built not on a rumor about a risen Savior, but by spiritually encountering Him who died for your sins.
