Every week Dr. Koontz and RevFisk check their privilege against the backdrop of the wide and varied annals of history. You don‘t have to believe the Babel about the sons of Noah being a rosetta for understanding the postmodern global politic to agree that an intellectual dark web exists because history always rhymes, no matter what you try to do about it. You might not save the world by listening, citizen, but that doesn‘t mean you won‘t save someone.
Because knowing is only the first half of the battle.

Conspiracly Interesting
At first I listened to this because Koontz sounds brilliant. I thought the more I’d listen, I’d be able to see through him, but I can’t. The guy’s just brilliant. I also listened because Fisk sounds like a conspiracy theorist. But I like what he has to say. Instead of Koontz saying “yeah, yeah” though, it’d be better if he gave more consolation. We’re all slogging through, and Fisk’s points are relatable.
The best podcast I’ve discovered in a year
If you enjoy deep thinking about truth and reality, focused on the current times, this is that. As we seen Christendom recently buried, Christians are left wondering, “Where are we and what do we do now?” I greatly enjoy the sociological aspects and the interpretation of recent events in our government and culture, as well as the practical conclusions. Each episode leaves me with a clearer understanding and inspired to respond appropriately and scripturally. I am not Lutheran, but I am a Dutch Reformed Christian, yet I find it quite suitable to shared theology, piety, and practice. This is a time of crisis, and I find Christian unity that eclipses disagreements in theology and practice.
My Thursday Must Listen
Every Thursday I look forward to listening!
