Lindsey is a survivor of Domestic Violence and fierce advocate for awareness. After sitting with the recordings of St. Terrible lead singer, Zachary Herbert, I intuitively felt it a disservice to try to dilute anything he said with paraphrasing. I resonated with much of what he said in audio clips answering my questions and wanted to allow space for others to hear what he had to say. Le Poule Roost An Interview With Mona Oxford-Lyman
AirBnB host is just one of the accomplishments held by Mona Oxford-Lyman. She is an incredible artist, retired art teacher from Middleton Middle School, and played volleyball for NNU and Pepperdine before coaching at a collegiate level. I was very fortunate that she was one of my first volleyball coaches. She now has a new entrepreneurial pursuit of hosting an AirBnB after her and her husband, Jack renovated the barn built on their property. Interview with Sheri Schmidt- Shinecology Co- Founder
Sheri's son was diagnosed with Tcell Lymphoma at just 2 years old. Through this experience, she realized just how important it was to band together with other families experiencing pediatric cancer. She co-founded the organization Shinecology with another pediatric cancer mom and a registered nurse. Their hope is for the organization is to build a sense of community around pediatric cancer families by connecting them to other cancer families and resources in the community. Survival of the Fittest
Zack is one of my favorite people (if you can't tell already with him showing up 3 times this season alone.) His mindset is straight savage. He is constantly challenging the stereotypes that keep men small while advocating for other men to step into their awareness. I met up with Zack at The Mecca Gym which hosts a beautiful array of equipment targeted towards assisting powerlifters reach full potential. During this meet up, I witnessed Zack at 5' 3" and 148 lbs deadlift 405 lbs x5 times! The Evolution of Man (Part One)
I sit down and talk with Mike Bryant and Zack Henson about Khaos Kreed, societal standards impacting masculinity, and relationship barriers due to social media. I’ve been listening to the movement of an evolution of men lately. It’s out there. Men rejecting the “boys will be boys” mentality and stepping into their responsibilities to be GOOD, SOLID MEN. I am really interested to hear more of this Genre of Renaissance man so I am featuring some of them this year on the podcast. I am inspired that men are embracing full consciousness and spreading the message that you don’t have to be a certain “type” of man to be “A MAN”. Such is the case with Zack Henson. Informative
I learn something I didn't know before, every time that I tune into A Fresh Perspective. Lindsey has a great way of wording things for the overall concept to be informative. I love that she interviews people who are in the local community she lives in and also sheds light on Idaho projects or brands that I wouldn't have known about before. I know that talking about what her husband and her have been through with blending a family must have been difficult. Made more difficult with possible backlash for speaking up, but I commend their efforts to help other people with tools who are going through the same situation as them. Great podcast, love the energy, highly recommend!
