Astrology and the Occupation of Palestine / with Majd H Sayed

We also discuss the charts of nation states and skepticism that we should have around them as astrologers.

Episode on Gaza war totally one-sided
I was initially interested in the podcast and liked the host’s angle on astrology. But… where do I start with the November 4th episode? “Genocide in Gaza” and anti-Zionism are discussed out of the gate in this episode as if no reasonable debate could be had about whether Israel should exist as a country. Totally one-sided. There’s no distinction made between Hamas and Palestinians (which is frankly disrespectful of Palestinians, the majority of whom on the eve of war did not support or trust Hamas). No mention of the right of Israel to protect itself from Hamas (whose stated goal is genocide of Jews), no mention of Hama’s use of human shields or its unspeakable murder, torture, beheading, live dismemberment, kidnapping of children and elderly people. Killing kids in front of their parents and vice versa. And then comes the 9/11 and 10/07 trutherism from the guest with no pushback from the host. And a bunch of lame references to “colonialism,” as if of course that’s a justification to wipe Israel from the map. Show me a country today that can’t be accused of colonialism in the your broad sense. I do not like Israel’s current leader nor the West Bank settlements, and I support a two state solution and believe it’s still possible. But Hamas must go. You must know you have left yourself wide open for being labeled antisemitic (which I think is self evident), and you give astrologers and astrology a bad name. Do yourself a favor and stick to astrology.
