My mother passed unexpectedly in 2016. She was brilliant and hysterically funny but also suffered a lot. In A Woman Called Mother, I share the stories and scenes I collected from our time together, and also the stories and scenes I’ve been collecting from my present perspective since becoming a mother myself.
I’m taking a break from posting because I’m working on finishing my memoir about my relationship with my mother. I will update once I have a release date for the book. Thank you!
(I also have a podcast for kids and parents called Once Upon an Upset.)

Heartbreakingly beautiful
The stories told by Jessica are heartbreakingly beautiful. Knowing they are from real experiences leaves you with a knot in your chest, aching over the experiences lived, and crossing your fingers that triumph prevailed. I highly recommend this podcast!
Amazing, interesting and so much more
I absolutely love the stories Jessica tells of her Mother. I just can’t get enough of them. She has an incredible way of telling her stories and speaking that makes it feel so real. If you haven’t listened to this podcast you must!!! You will thank me later.
