The Spark is a segment of the service that takes place before the general assembly. A spark can be defined as something that sets off a sudden force; and it is our prayer that this segment ignites and prepares you spiritually for worship. 
This week's Spark is about being able to differentiate your voice from God's voice.

God has many promises for us, but we have to know the promises in order for us to believe them. His attention is one of those promises: “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” – James 4:8 (CSB)

We often think that God’s grace is a “get out of jail free card;” consequently, we frivolously make decisions thinking that we can simply pray our way out of trouble. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way: every action has a reaction and every cause has an effect. God’s forgiveness and grace may pardon us from eternal death, but there’s still a price to pay while still on Earth.
“What should we say then? Should we continue in sin so that grace may multiply?” Romans 6:1 (CSB).

God’s love for us is something we talk about all of the time, but as Christians we have to do more than talk; we have to believe. God is our Shephard, and one of the ways in which He demonstrates His love is by listening to our heart’s cry.
