The original Jesus followers had a unique habit that grew their faith and attracted people to Christianity.
• They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42
You can’t have a little bit of community and a lot of Bible and get the faith you want. Building believers is both biblical and relational.
• 1st century Christians had limited access to the Bible but practiced unlimited community.
• 21st century Christians have unlimited access to the Bible but practice limited community.
What do you do when you want something great, but there’s a high cost?
• The cost of inconveniences and differences are too high for some to pay for oneness.
• To become one, we must embrace flexibility and give each other grace.
• Inconvenience and differences are always the cost of community.
• Your faith grows best in community. Christianity is not an individual sport!
