Addiction, divorce, death of his mother: What more can a man takes‪?‬ Canyouth's Exploration (CanX)

    • Society & Culture

Dr. Canute White talks with Dominic Meattey (January 23, 2024)

My guest grew up in a small town in NH. His parents were drug addicts and got clean, but his mother died when he was a teenager from Hepatitis C. So, Dominic’s father raised him
and his brother. He went to college to play baseball and football. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree and then got a masters. After graduating, he went to work for his family business and then got married a few years later to his ‘ex-wife’: They were together for about 13 years before getting divorced. While going through the divorce, he quit drinking. The marriage created a beautiful daughter. Now, according to my guest, “I’m on the path of creating the best me possible for my loved ones and my people” #addiction #alcohol #parenting
