Among Women 260: Divine Mercy and Finding Grace Where We Are
A Holy Week episode that talks about the extraordinary graces that come to us through Jesus, the Divine Mercy. I'm specifically going to focus on trusting Jesus for his mercy, the link between the prayers of Mary's fiat and the simple prayer, "Jesus, I trust in You". I'll also share the encouraging prayer titled "Eternal God of Endless Mercy." (Check out all the resources below on this much-needed topic in our lives and in today's world.)
Plus listen to an uplifting interview with author Melanie Rigney on the subject of going through menopause with a faith perspective. We discuss her book release from last year, Menopause Moments: A Journal for Nourishing Your Mind, Body and Spirit in Midlife.

Among Women Espresso Shot #47 – Nunc Coepi
Welcome to Episode 47 of the Among Women “Espresso Shot” – a short strong coffee break of faith sharing and teaching from Pat Gohn.
Today’s topic: Nunc Coepi
In this espresso shot, I describe the spiritual principle of Nunc Coepi, a Latin phrase that translates as "Now I begin." This is especially meaningful as we live through Lent. It addresses our need for courage and perseverance as we face difficulties, trials, or failures.
Also, on a personal note, I relate some of my recent health issues that led to an unexpected hiatus from the podcast, as it relates to this topic. It is a joy to be back!

Among Women 259: The Care and Feeding of Your Prayer Life
A mid-summer podcast about one of the most important subjects for a Christian—our prayer life! This topic is dear to my heart and you'll find many related podcasts (listed below) that I hope you'll investigate if you have time. The care and feeding of your soul comes from a life of prayer that is coupled with sanctifying grace found in the sacraments, chief among them—the Eucharist. Today's focus on prayer comes from my conversation with author and blogger, and longtime friend, Barb Szyszkiewicz, who brings us a new book, The Handy Little Guide: PRAYER.
I recommend Barb's book not only for yourself, but as a gift for others. It's short and an economical purchase, too. It's the latest in The Handy Little Guide Series from Our Sunday Visitor.
In our saint segment, we power up with inspiration, wisdom and advice and drawn from several saints on the how-and-why's about prayer. So much good stuff, below. Be sure to check out the book and the related podcasts!

Among Women 258: Secrets of the Sacred Heart
Ramping up for the feast of the Sacred Heart on June 11, we're diving deep into devotion of the Sacred Heart with author and speaker, Emily Jaminet. Her latest book is called Secrets of the Sacred Heart: Twelve Ways to Claim Jesus' Promises in You Life and it is absolutely red hot wisdom on the subject. You'll also learn about enthroning the Sacred Heart in your home or elsewhere. One of my favorite stories that Emily tells is about a lonely woman whose experience of isolation during the pandemic was transformed by this devotion. Oh, there's so much more! I also give a short read from the book on the life of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque whom Jesus used mightily to bring this devotion, eventually, to the world.
If you've never discover the richness of the Among Women archives, I've created a list of listener favorites: Check out the TOP 25 Among Women podcasts of all time, as indicated by our download numbers.
