Andrew and Jerry Say May Day! May Day!

Andrew and Jerry Say May Day! May Day!

Justin Timberlake said it best, "It's gotta be May!"
It's the first of May, and not only is May Day a traditional communist "holiday", but it's also a signal of someone or some thing in distress. Like America.
Andrew and Jerry break down what's going on on America's college campuses, talking about the origins of these crises, who is behind them in terms of their funding and coordination, and just what the future holds.  How the efforts to blame Trump for these crises ultimately underscore the role that Never Trumpers and those with Trump Derangement Syndrome have played in their eruption.  The double standards of the elite, and how a "rules for thee but not for me" mentality runs through the protests.  The element of LARPing (Live Action Roleplaying) that seems to also be an undercurrent, as Gen Zers take cues from Gen Xers who want to live up to their academic mentors' 1960s experiences.  Not just double standards for the elite, but how the Biden Administration's law enforcement apparatus seems focused on conservative "threats", but seems to be missing what's happening on these campuses and elsewhere.
Then it's the Trump trials, and the legitimacy of handcuffind Donald Trump to a courtroom chair.  What this means for election 2024  - whether Biden will be the candidate, whether there will be a Trump/Biden debate, and what effect will RFK, Jr. actually have on the race.  What do the current polls mean - and what could shift them between now and November.
Plus, a discussion of the economy, a new report on regulatory costs from the American Action Forum, and the contrasted record on regulations between Obama, Trump and Biden.

Andrew and Jerry's Day of Visibility!

Andrew and Jerry's Day of Visibility!

Easter Sunday also happened to coincide with the National Transgender Day of Visibility, and Andrew and Jerry noodle through how that happened to happen.  With the myriad months, weeks and days dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ agenda, what does this mean for the world at large from both a theological and civil society perspective.  What happens when society abandons objective truth?  Jerry talks about how this pertrains to some corporate anti-harassment training he's being required to do, and just what it means when perspectives change over time.  Andrew talks about how this fits into Orwell's warnings in "1984", and then the issue of society's problems being perpetuated, within the context of entities like the Clinton Foundation.  There was a massive (and massively protested) Democrat fundraiser over the weekend at which President Biden appeared with both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.  Will the negative comparisons invariably made between Biden and Clinton and Obama hurt the President as he goes into November.  And as the show begins to wind down, Jerry talks about some disturbing trends in politicians attempting to chill not just free speech, generally, but Jerry's specifically, and Andrew unloads about the responsibility corporate news organizations have towards protecting free speech.
Also, some references to the new Netflix series, "3 Body Problem" and the Star Trek Universe.

Andrew and Jerry Save the 2024 State of the Union!

Andrew and Jerry Save the 2024 State of the Union!

The State of the Union is Angry (or IS IT?)!  Andrew and Jerry break down last week's bizarre and largely unprecedented State of the Union address.  What does it say about Biden's mental state?  They talk about the President's departure from SOTU norms by focusing on Ukraine at the top of the speech, then saying there's a crisis in democracy, and then spending a huge chunk of the speech demonizing his opponents.  They draw in the breaking news regarding revelations about whether or not Trump advised that National Guard troops be brought to DC in advance of J6, and the risk calculus Democrats when through in deciding whether or not they should be brought to DC.  The President is pressured into mentioning Laken Riley's name, botches it, but instead of apologizing for his lack of empathy, he instead apologized for using the term "illegal" when discussing the man accused of murdering her.  They discuss Marxist dialectic, the synthesizing of problems and the progressives' recommendation that government is always the answer.  The many lies told in the speech, and the double-standard of the media in holding Biden accountable.  But is all lost?  Are people realizing that the emperor has no clothes?  Andrew and Jerry look to the comedy of Dana Carvey as an indicator that the vast independent middle is starting to realize that something is fundamentally wrong at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Bonus Episode: Andrew's Solo Interviews at CPAC Day 2!

Bonus Episode: Andrew's Solo Interviews at CPAC Day 2!

With Jerry delayed a bit, Andrew sat down to do a couple of solo interviews for the podcast.  He's joined by former Congressman Doug Collins (R-GA) and Jon Schweppe from the American Principles Project!  Rep. Collins talks about the war on intellectual property with the Biden Administration's attempt to seize patents as a backdoor way of implementing price controls on drugs, as well as the problem of pharmaceutical benefits managers, otherwise known as PBMs.  John talks about the insidious nature of early exposure of children to harmful material online and how best to protect them!

Andrew and Jerry at CPAC 2024 Day 2!

Andrew and Jerry at CPAC 2024 Day 2!

It's Day 2 of CPAC, and Jerry is coming in HOT!  Tales of altercations narrowly avoided, and just how one should navigate crowds.  We're joined by singer/songwriter Hadas Levy, who follows up on our conversation with the creative forces behind Cabrini with a discussion of how changing the culture can change societal narratives.  Mary Walter joins again, and we get her thoughts on the top issues facing her (and America) today.  Then "Puppet Carlson" joins us... and you're going to want to hear Andrew discuss how Jerry strenuously avoided making eye contact with the puppet.

Intelligent Conversation

What I like most about this show is that both talks in detail and in general over a myriad of topics of the past and present how it is all related. The guests that are brought on help facilitate that conversation too. One may agree with them or not and that is ok. It is about having a conversation. It’s also nice that after listening to talk radio, it’s great to listen to a conversation, sometimes heated, that goes on for more than just a couple of segments. It’s not just intellectual all the time but both men speak from the heart. It helps me see topics in a way that I had not before, which is the best.
