Tina is an entrepreneur and business coach based in the United States. She is the owner of Welljourn, an online store that sells fair trade home goods, art, jewelry, and other items curated from artisans around the world. Tina has been traveling internationally since she was young, with some of her favorite childhood memories taking place in her mother's home country of Germany. Carnaval (Brazil)
Synchronicity is a word coined by Swiss Psychologist Carl Jung to describe seemingly coincidental, yet meaningful events in the external world that do not have an obvious cause.
I know I’ve been mentioning this word quite a bit in the last couple episodes. Because I believe, many of the experiences or events that occur during my travels are in fact connected- providing me with direction and guidance.
And my first real experience with synchronicity happened during the week of Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro.
Wanna hear all about how my Carnaval experience started off as a solo endeavor yet turned into something truly amazing?
That’s what I’m talking about in today’s episode.

Living vicariously :)
Speaking as someone who has a million places she’d love to visit and yet has never taken the plunge to actually GO to those places, I am really enjoying listening to tales of Katy’s adventures! The descriptions of her travels paint a vivid picture, and I am in awe of the bravery and courage she possesses as she steps out into the world to chase after her dreams. I’m looking forward to finding out where “we” will travel in her next episode!!
So relatable!
So much of social media these days is about presenting yourself as having it all together & having all the answers. Thankfully, Katy’s stories of how things went wrong (and the lessons learned) is so relatable & entertaining. You can hear her self deprecating smile through the microphone.
I love checking the Mariposa Skies social media posts afterwards to see the garments and accessories that played starring roles in her stories.
Highly recommend this light, humorous & encouraging podcast to amateur & experienced travelers alike.
Love it!
Katy is a beautiful storyteller and I can’t wait to hear more of her stories. I also LOVE Mariposa Skies!! What a beautiful business model with an incredible mission. This podcast makes me feel like I can be brave and travel the world even when it stresses me out. So excited about this podcast!
