For our Anything Goes sermon series last fall, we had hundreds of questions submitted and, obviously, we didn't have time to address most of them. We wanted to be able to answer more of those questions, so here it goes!

11. Local Takeover: Being a Neighbour to the Homeless & Addicted (with Surrey Urban Mission)
In part 3 of the Global and Local Takeover series, we interviewed Executive Director of Surrey Urban Mission Society, Mike Musgrove. SUMS operates four shelters in Surrey, BC, providing meals and community connections for people experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction, and mental health. We talk about the role of the church in this work and the impact of building relationships. It gets real when the conversation turns to naloxone, scooping poop, and what it means to be a bridge to hope.

8. All Things Parenting (with Buffy Paul)
Pastor Jeremy interviews Executive Pastor of Family Ministries, Buffy Paul, about all things parenting. In this podcast, they discuss recent parenting and child developmental issues to be aware of, and how to strategize for them going forward. They address what structures are helpful for kids, being aware of your child’s online presence, what our kids are learning from us that we don’t even realize, and how Christianity offers a powerful parenting worldview.
Taking into consideration Buffy’s years of experience working with families navigating autism, they explore how we can learn to show more understanding and empathy for the many challenges faced by families in our communities.
