We had the pleasure of sitting down with Alejandro Rodriguez, 7x National Karate Champion, and owner of The Battlefield in Greenville, SC. In this episode we discuss Alejandro's upbringing in Venezuela, and how Karate gave him the confidence and grit he needed to achieve everything he has in life, and taught him to never give up even when life circumstances seemed impossible to overcome. He talks about the mindset needed to be great, and how us as parents can better instill this mindset into our youth athletes. We had the privilege this week of sitting down Sergio and Juan, founders and owners of 90+OT. The guys talk about how their friendship formed into a thriving soccer business partnership, that is quickly becoming known as one of the major go to soccer training facilities in the Upstate of SC. The guys talk about their passion for not only teaching the game of soccer, but instilling character inside and outside of the game to the players they are coaching. We dove deep into Desmond's upbringing in a small town of the Deep South, and how his upbringing formed him into the athlete who became one of the most highly recruited Defensive Ends to come out of Spartanburg County, SC.
