Fun to Listen To

I left Christianity many years ago, but I still find value in listening to people deconstructing their own faith. I am still mystified by those who see all the flaws in Biblical literalism, understand that the Bible is not inerrant, see all the evils in the various human churches, and yet still cling to the idea that Jesus had something unique and important to say. This podcast is a case in point. It is fun to listen to, the hosts cheerfully embrace the idea of being apostates, critique modern Christianity, yet haven’t quite taken the final step of rejecting Jesus as something unique. I try to maintain an open mind, in case a I missed something in my deco version, but I haven’t found anything compelling yet. This podcast provides food for thought, and we agree more than we disagree. But I suspect in the end they will conclude Jesus is just another guy who impacted a lot of lives without actually being Devine in any sense of the word. Well worth listening to if you are tired of fundamentalist Christianity.

As a expat of religious I highly recommend this podcast. These guys manage to mix serious and silly and add some sardonic spice.
