A Tale of Two Cities Within One City focuses on two neighborhoods, one that has the highest average life expectancy and one that has the lowest life expectancy, both in the same city, Toledo, and just less than four miles apart.



With this knowledge the Area Office on Aging felt the responsibility to try to do something to address this longevity gap that exists in our community.

She is an award-winning author of five books. Karin Hurt and her partner, David Dye, surveyed over 5000 full time workers in over 45 countries and in all 50 US states about conflict in the workplace.

It turns out conflict is becoming more of an issue everywhere you go.



They wrote POWERFUL PHRASES FOR DEALING WITH WORKPLACE CONFLICT to help all employees (and their managers) rebuild trust, collaboration, and ultimately enjoy more influence at work.

70% of participants in their survey report the same or more conflict over the last few years.

Only 30% reported less conflict - and nearly half of those say it’s because they (or the people they were in conflict with) changed jobs, or they’re working remotely.
