Do You Feel It? Pitching Ditties, Seeing What Sticks
Songs the other probably doesn't know but would probably like. Dad thought it was a theme, I thought it was just "what we do." In either case, and maybe because it had been so long, this episode was smooth, loaded with tunes that (mostly) landed, and had accidental through-lines (e.g., boogie woogie piano) that just made it easy and natural. A Brilliant Start
An interesting, relaxed, nicely paced look at some great folk and rock treasures , with a focus (for this first cast) on John Prine. Aron has the right voice to bringing together music and commentary, and his father adds his own experience of songs that they have listened to and loved together. A very good start on what promises to be an interesting exploration of various genres, artists, and musical periods.
