Engineering knowledge is limitless in its scope and detail.

Making sense of specialized engineering knowledge is not easy. Why? Most of it you didn't learn during your college years. A majority of the technical know-how is learned informally on the job. If you're fortunate, you will have an incredible mentor who can show you the tricks of the trade. In fact, the knowledge you need to have a successful career exists invisibly in the minds of engineers who are entirely unaware of it.

This podcast will serve as your own personal tribe of mentors. In each episode, we will extract tribal knowledge from top engineering and manufacturing leaders to help you on your journey.

There is no way of knowing what you are going to need around the next corner of your career, so let Grinding Gears be your guide.

Avocado lover! ,

Great!!!

Great discussion on part 2. I really enjoyed listening to the perspective on the importance of understanding value and specifications within the field of engineering. Similarly, the discussion on how the different types of knowledge( explicit, Implicit, and tacit)play a role in various aspects of engineering, and more. Vary informative and intriguing. Great job Bassanio!! 👍🏾👍🏾

Excellent Insights

Only 1 episode in and I’m hooked. As an experienced engineer I thought I had a good grasp on the realities of engineering. This series has really encouraged me to step back and self-assess with the goal of becoming better.

Can't wait for more episodes!

The A2D Team did a great job of keeping me engaged. I usually give a podcast a 5 minute window, and if it's boring/wack, on to the next! This is a great podcase to add to rotation.
