Sharing in the Sword
As Mary and Joseph move forward from the events of the Nativity, they follow the Mosaic Law and present Jesus in the Temple. In this episode, Erica and Rachelle walk through Dr. Edward Sri's reflections on how Mary learns the way in which her heart will be pierced by a sword. She and her Son will be intricately linked in their experience of co-suffering. The Blessed Virgin continues to show us the ways in which we can give our continual yes to the Lord's annunciations in our life, even when they are more painful than we can imagine.

You guys are truly a gasp of oxygen
I just found you guys and already I love you. I was not expecting you all to be women around my age or just a bit older, but that is a breath of fresh air to me and makes me feel a lot less alone in a world where young people (and I think especially young women) of faith are seen as isolated anomalies and are told that we’re weird or backwards and don’t have friends in this world. I can tell that you three go way back because of the way your dynamic is balanced and the ease with which you dive into these amazing discussions. Your insights are deep and meaningful and sometimes very brave and refreshingly honest (I have S3E1 specifically in mind—it’s so awkward and uncomfortable for us to admit why this is often a struggle for us, but if we never admit it we get bogged down in shame, so thank you for giving us all permission to talk about that struggle!) Anyways, just know that you’re doing your fellow young Catholic women a great service and I, for one, appreciate you all and the work you’re doing. Can’t wait for new episodes! 💗
