Atlanta United FC Weekly - 182 - ATLUTD vs Columbus Crew - The Little Bicycle That Could
We're BACK! Tonight we talk about the bevvy of injuries that continue to plague the Atlanta United roster following an Atlanta loss at home to Columbus Crew. The 5-stripes late game theatrics via Dom Dwyer's bicycle kick goal unfortunately were not enough to secure points for a team struggling to keep opponents out of their own net. We also talk about the GK situation and what we could see in the coming months as Shuttleworth's performance wanes. Lastly, what does Atlanta really need during the summer's transfer window? Will it be enough to secure a playoff spot? Only time will tell.

Atlanta United FC Weekly - 181 - ATLUTD vs Chicago Fire - Will the Real Ronaldo Please Stand Up?
Tonight we recap the recent match against the Chicago Fire, one that brought the fastest Hat Trick in Atlanta United history by Ronaldo Cisneros! Despite the goals that continued to be pulled from his hat, one thing that the team is still in short supply of is achilles tendons, as yet a third player in Miles Robinson goes down with a tear in the middle of the game. We'll talk about it all alongside our good friend Mike Germon and laugh, cry, and celebrate together the only way HB4D knows how.

Tonight we're joined by Kelly Frances to talk about the latest disappointment this season after Atlanta's loss on the road to Montral Impact 2-1. Another match where the 5 Stripes struggled to capitalize on chances and leaves many wondering where this team is headed this season. Between the injuries and lack of results, and a team that is just a few chance goals away from being the bottom of the conference, is the sky officially fallen? Right now Atlanta sits 7th in the conference and on the cusp of being knocked below the playoff line. Can this fanbase stand another season missing the cut? All that and more this week on HB4D!

Atlanta United FC Weekly - 179 - ATLUTD vs Inter Miami - Miami Vice Grip
Despite the 6-0 Open Cup high on Wednesday night, the weekend brought pain as Atlanta United continues to come up short on the road against Inter Miami. A 2-1 loss, despite Atlanta scoring first, and looking the better team through much of the match leaves us wondering where this team may be headed. Many will no doubt look to the referee mishap that should have led to several PK opportunities by the likes of Moreno and Lennon, but the fact remains, that aside from a fluke opening goal for the 5 stripes, the 20 shots and 7 on goal metrics don't mean much unless you are capitalizing on them.

Atlanta United FC Weekly - 178 - Achilles Heal
Kevin and Tim discuss the draw to FC Cincy, which led Atlanta United's Brad Guzan out with a season ending injury to his achilles. Wit a season and a lineup already fraught with injuries and squad rotation, how much more can this team bear? While several starters return, including the likes of Emerson Hyndman and Luiz Araujo, others are worse for wear. Can Atlanta work some transfer magic to keep the ship on course? Also, it's US Open Cup Season! Can the 5 Stripes maintain their trophy for a 4th year?

Customer Reviews
Sticher listener
Been listening for a while on sticher with no way to give a review on there. Felt bad you guys haven’t got any love lately so figured id put it off long enough.
Great insight on the game and the team. Much better than the twitter gloom and doom I see pop up on my feed most of the time. Enjoy listening during the day at work as I’m on the road and It gets a little lonely. Then all I do is just skip to the “Dan Load” 🎶 and I’m feeling alright.
But no seriously enjoy what you guys do each week. Getting your perspective on the game that I love and the team that I’m behind. Look forward to each episode to hear all of your thoughts on the week prior.
The Best United Podcast BY FAR!
Always good to relax on a Monday evening and drink bourbon listening to this group discuss all things United (Atlanta, never Manchester). Keep it up gents! Cheers!
