Audiomorphs: An Animorphs Podcast(?‪)‬ Audiomorphs

I’m only on book 5 but I’ve been living this book series I missed out on as a kid and also Daniel’s weekly personal updates! Can’t wait to listen to everything so far

I used to read these books when I was 7 and 8years old, getting my hands on them as often as the elementary school library could stock them, which is to say I read about 1/3 of them from different parts of the series, and all out of order. I did buy the last few, though, and I still remember staying up late to read through Book 54 and all of its gut-punches. Now, 20 some years later, I found myself wanting to get back into the series, but also not having an easy way to do it. Then I found out about this podcast. I’ve just finished Book 13 and it’s absolutely wonderful (though I do have to mention that I found the Ellimist’s voice in that one to be extra difficult to understand, but that’s small potatoes), the sound effects in particular are a stand out contribution. I had initially wondered if the reader was really going to say “blam” every time there was a gunshot, but the sound effects are a perfect solution and fit in seamlessly. The voices start off good and only improve over time, to the point where I often forget it’s just one person doing it all. Thank you for this project, it’s amazing and has helped me to even be able to drag my friends into Animorphs fandom. 10/10, this podcast is amazing.

I was looking for audiobooks at the library to introduce my kids to the series, but couldn’t find any. Found a website that led me to you... thank you! Such complex themes I never noticed as a kid! (Unfortunately, my kids are not ready for this yet- but now I know!) I am updating this because I find myself checking every Thursday for new episodes. For some reason I thought it was Thursday, not Friday. But since I didn’t know, I find myself on edge - will he or won’t he post one this week?!? I actually had started reading ahead during the last book, but found I really look forward to see how you will do each voice- I was excited to see how the new Andalites would speak. Thanks for bringing this world to life for all of us. I decided to just keep listening, not even read the physical books (I had been getting them from the library). The only problem is that I keep thinking of parts of the books during my day and have no one to share it with!
