    Host Dana Lewis talks to International  Crisis Group’s Program Director for Europe and Central Asia, Olga Oliker who says if the fighting starts NATO be drawn into a conflict with Russia as one or more of its members support Ukraine.
     
    Duncan Allan is director of Octant Research & Analysis  an independent consultancy, and has been based in the British Embassy in Kiev and Moscow.  Duncan explains the "Minsk Conundrum" as Russia and Ukrainians have very different views of the Minsk agreements to stop the shooting. 
    And we hear from Konrad Muzyka who is the director of Rochan  Consulting, which provides open-source assessments of the Belarusian and Russian Armed Forces.

    REFUGEES DIE TO CROSS THE ENGLISH CHANNEL

    27 people died this week trying to cross the English Channel from France to England.  The British Government showed little sympathy, and blamed France for not doing more to stop the refugees from making a perilous crossing.

    France said it's stopped 20 thousand people already this year and cancelled a high level meeting with the British Gov't in protest. France says Britain has created this problem by refusing to have a heart and take in desperate people.

    On this Back Story we talk to the Care4Calais aid agency about what's really going on, and Times Columnist Edward Lucas who calls it 'hunger games' by the British Government which has to find a better solution.

    This week a House Republican law maker was censured for releasing a video animation of a murder of a fellow  lawmaker, and promoting violence against other Democrats including the U.S. President.  A defiant (R)Paul Gosar reacted by reposting the offensive video.  

    A couple of days earlierTrump advisor Steve Bannon was brought before the courts on contempt charges, for refusing to testify at a House investigation into the attack on the Capitol on Jan 6th.  Outside the court Bannon called it the "Biden regime" and told people to "stand by", the same phrase Fmr. President Trump used, in talking to White Supremacists.

    Calls for violence, and relentless Republican attacks on the legitimacy of the election, puts America  on a trajectory for disaster.   On Back Story Host Dana Lewis talks to Univ. of Virginia Prof. and political commentator Larry Sabato, who calls it "the most extraordinary and disturbing period" of his life in looking at politics in America.

In today’s world we get news with an agenda unfortunately but Dana takes a very non bias journalistic approach to extract information from his guests. Solid
