This is a time for all of you tocall in and reminice about Scout.

I'm sure that many of you have some things you would like to say, erhaps something left unsaid before that you want to express now.

About twice a year we will do a show where we go over the skills and techniques required to make the shot. Tonight will be one of those shows.

A refresher on using your sling during shooting. The shooting positions used by Riflemen, including steadu hold factors in the positions and how body geometry affects the shooter's position.

"Natural Point of Aim", what it is, how to aquire it and shift it on to your target.

Firing The Shot by the specific steps required to make the shot. Including the correct use of your sights and your relationship to them. How breathing affeccts the impact of the round on target, the physical and mental aspects of making the shot, trigger squeeze and what happens in the milliseconds after you squeeze the trigger. All of these things will affect the impact of the round downrange. These are not new or suddenly discovered steps, they have been figured out over the last 400 years of firearms use by Riflemen. 

We will talk about the math of making the shot. Understanding the relationship between your sights, the impact of the round on the target and how to make corrections to your sights. The "black magic" of actually turning the buttons and knobs on your rifle.

We will also discuss the shooters cadence whiile firing the shot, and the idea of shutting out everything in your universe except yourself, your rifle and the taget when shooting.

Doingt the show on thursdays was strated because I had to keep the weekends open and wanted to do the show during the week in case there were events coming for the weekend that I needed to promote when I was at appleseed. But with my new schedule, I need to change dates agaion and will start doing the show at 7:30PM on Saturday nights.

I hope this change will help to get additional listeners and to make it easier for folks already listening to the show. Thanks!!

I want to talk about several of the battles that occurred in the month of May, during The American Revolutionary War. The Battle of Cedars, Megs Raid and The Battle of Waxhaws. These battles were part of the eight long years of The Ameican Revolutionary War. Only one, Meg's Raid was actually a successful battle given Patriot sucess status. The Cedars and Waxhaws were both British victories and both had serious ramifications for both sides.

We will cover a variety of subjects tonight. I want to talk about training in inclement weather, with gear on, wearing protective eye wear and gloves. All of the protective gear you need to wear can make a big difference in how you perform, and can men the difference between making it to the end of gh event or not. Catching a secondary projectile in your eye can be a complete game changer or ender.

Want to remind folks to be working on their preps as well. Even just adding small items, or remembering to store water frozen in your freezer, it all helps.

There has been a lot of discussion of late concerning what would happen if we had any type of an event which would cause local, state or federal government to go on high alert or actually shut down all, or portions, of our city, state or naation. We have seen a rash of "training" events lately and will undoubtedly see a lot more of them. The government is preparing for...something...and even if it is just an honest preparation for some event in the forseeable future, it is nonetheless disturbing and well worth taking the time to consider what you will do when and if something such as a nationl "State of Emergency" is declared.
