Great Podcast
So glad you guys are back was listening to gleeful from the beginning so happy to find this podcast I missed listening too you guys
Just OK, not great
I listed to their Jim Steinman shw - it's really too bad they they couldn't find a read Jim Steinman expert, instead of just a schlub who ran into him somewhere and knew about half of what we needed to know. It was OK, but I expected better for 80 minutes dedicated to Steinman, once of the finest rock composers ever.
I'm a fangirl, but you don't have to be
I had just finished listening to the last season of the Gleeful podcast in January of 2017 (why? heaven only knows), and then two days later a BRAND NEW podcast shows up there, and I am wondering what this witchcraft is. Well, this witchcraft is Beatdown, and it's fantastic. I don't have a lot of opinions about music, but Josh, Jen, and Ed do, and it's so fun to listen to them hash those opinions out. At this point, I would probably listen to those three discuss dryer lint, but my totally unbiased husband is always a little sad each week that I have listened to this podcast without him. He's only heard snippets but was so engaged. Listen to this podcast whether you have opinions about music or just enjoy listening to people disagree with each other in a friendly way (a lost art these days).
