Dan Bernstein and Laurence Holmes opened their show with a focus on the Cubs, with Bernstein explaining why the team's roller-coaster season "is life." Holmes then explained why he believes the Cubs chose to start veteran right-hander Kyle Hendricks in their series finale against the Pirates on Sunday in Pittsburgh. It had to do with who's on the schedule next for the Cubs. Later, their focus shifted to the White Sox. Amid a streak of improved play from the club, Holmes had something nice to share about manager Pedro Grifol.
