The NT word for peace means more than the absence of conflict, but includes begin quiet, still, and at rest. It is used of a nation or a city that has a caring, competent and secure leader. It is the translation of the OT word shalom, which contained the ideas of "soundness of body and overall wellbeing." That kind of peace is illusive today, so let's examine God's pathway to peace.
