Love the story telling, some cringy commentary
I’m happy I found this podcast! It’s so good, Sarah and Darcie pick the most interesting cases. I haven’t made my way through all the episodes and I’m kinda glad I just found it so I have a lot of episodes to choose from!!!
The only thing I did not love is the commentary is so cringy and obviously from a white privileged perspective...example: in talking abt a news story (discussed in the Michella Welch episode) one of the hosts talks abt how killing your parents is a “this generation problem” which makes no sense bc this type of thing has happened for decades. I found it so cringy/racist bc she insisted that she wouldn’t have done that and that her friends wouldn’t have using a “we pulled ourselves up by the bootstraps” perspective which is unfair considering all the things that “this generation” is dealing with. I’m not surprised that some of their perspectives are cringy/racist bc they are 2 white women, and it isn’t enough to make me stop listening. I just hope that you listen if you haven’t, and if you read this Sarah & Darcie thank you for a great podcast!! (and i hope you are still prioritizing anti-racism)
Poor research and delivery
So out of sequence and very poor research done. They just kind of jumped around with details that most of which were incomplete or totally incorrect.
Mannequins
A short time before the murders started, someone had stolen a bunch of mannequins from a local dept store. That's why a few of the witnesses assumed the bodies were mannequins. Do y'all do ANY research?
