This episode with Jeremy and Joshua Mathis was legendary! After running a cleaning business for a little over a year, they realized that they weren't passionate about the business and sold it. The brothers got their start in real estate by wholesaling and once they closed their first deal, they knew that they found their next business.
After a year of wholesaling, they decided to get into flipping houses. During that year they did over 20 flips. The following year, they started buying rental properties. During this time, they developed the skill of finding great deals and deciding whether to wholesale, flip or hold it as a rental. Their current rental portfolio is worth $5 million with about $2million in equity. This is an episode you don't want to miss!

1) Persistence is necessary to close deals. Make sure you have a sequence of follow ups built into your strategy.
2) If you are new to flipping houses, you should not do a full gut rehab as your first project. Do a smaller rehab that can be done in 90 days because it will boost your confidence.
3) When you are looking for a mentor, make sure to ask for receipts and speak to previous clients. Don't be afraid to vet someone thoroughly.
