This week is a very special episode. We host Sharks radio broadcaster Dan Rusanowsky to talk about his new book If These Walls Could Talk: San Jose Sharks. Dan talks us through several of the stories featured in the book, as well as his broadcaster career and the history of the Sharks for an incredible insider look at the team.

Following the interview, it’s business as usual, with one small caveat: Sie’s audio got goofed up. Apologies for that. Also this is episode 12. Episode 11 is coming out of order — we told y’all things would get weird around the holidays.

For the as mentioned in this episode, visit Fear the Fin.

We went to hit record this week and Dylan Strome was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks, so that’s the whole episode.

Just kidding, we eventually get to Sie versus Pete DeBoer once again and answer a crop of fantastic questions including a round of FMK, intense would-you-rathers and a plethora of useless numbers regarding our favorite boys in teal.

BST 2x09: Keep Calm and Pete On

This week’s super-sized episode comes in late because it’s the holidays and your questions sent us into overtime. Just note that it was recorded prior to last night’s meeting with the Edmonton Oilers.

When we weren’t busy talking about our favorite topic (yes, the international holiday food debate returns for a third time), we talk about the retirement of San Jose Barracuda Legend Paul Martin, Joe Pavelski’s future with the San Jose Sharks and whether or not Marcus Sorensen is just smoke and mirrors. We learn something that makes us backtrack on our previous coaching critiques and we find out our biggest fan is just a Melnyk Twitter bot.

Oh yeah, and some guy named Erik Karlsson scored a goal? So I guess we talk about that, too.

In this week’s episode, we realized we forgot about an entire game last week, muse about where Joel Quenneville might land and get down to the real reason the Sharks drafted Josh Norris (thank you, Doctor Strange). We finally get to do the Senators Check we’ve been waiting all week for and really, everything spirals from there.

As always, we look at last week’s games and preview the upcoming week with point predictions, an Aaron Dell watch and bold predictions that are both too bold and too real.

We recorded this episode of Blood, Sweat, & Teal right after the news about the Kings broke, so here’s an extended Los Angeles Kings heat check, which led to looking at the state of other bad teams in the NHL. We also talk about the Sharks’ coaching decisions, future roster decisions and...High School Musical? Important questions get answered, like which match up of two teams would make you turn down an invite to a hockey game?

As always, we preview the upcoming slate of games with an Aaron Dell watch and bold predictions and check in on the Ottawa Senators — which, regrettably happened before the absolute best video of the Ottawa Former Sharks leaked. We’ll grab that next week.

BST 2x06: The Erik Karlsson Appreciation Hour

In our maddest and sleepiest episode yet, Kyle manages to play good cop to Sie’s bad cop as they take on those pesky Erik Karlsson talks that spread through Sharks Territory.

That takes up most of the episode, where we also discuss the value of statistics versus the eye test and what is means when those things don’t line up. We recap the last week of Sharks news, check in on our bold predictions, make some new ones, and answer your questions!

It might not be our funniest episode ever, but to our credit — we’re still pretty mad right now. Sorry for the catheter talk, that was gross.

Allegedly

Innocent until proven guilty if your an American.

I could go over all the women’s rights this country defends. Particularly with regards to custody, alimony, etc.

Just because you are a woman doesn’t mean you are a good, great, or decent person. Those titles are earned regardless of sex/gender

There are many people who take advantage of others with money. It’s a fact.

Taking all this into account - the comments made this week in regards to Evander Kane, and his family, at a time of utter and complete tragedy and sadness; I’m afraid to say was so completely incongruent with any moral code, common decency, or humanity that I for one can’t listen or support this podcast any further.

This saddens me.

What we are seeing is a MeToo movement have its moment of carte blanche and at the total degradation of our society thru microaggressions verbalized by the feeble minded who wave their metoo flag.

It’s unfortunate that a movement so full of positivity and love; awareness and social justice find its demise in carelessness
and entitlement issues.

It’s ok to be humbled, it’s ok to feel sad. If you apologize In the future make sure you mean it.

Jah Love sister.

Weak

Sie is a very emotionally weak and broken podcast host. Good when she’s on, she laughs a lot as camouflage but do not be fooled... find another Sharks podcast because Sie is often “not on”. Very sad and broken podcast. I feel badly for her cohost.

Sharks fans need better and these hosts are simply not capable. Best wishes for all who struggle, and best wishes for Sharks fans to find a more emotionally solid platform.
