Board Games Are For Losers

I listed to a lot of podcasts in general (historical, political, sports) and many boardgaming podcasts (The Dice Tower, Rahdo Talks Through, Board Game Blitz, Ludology, Board Gmae Top Tens), and I am quite excited that I discovered this one recently. It has a great central concept, how to bring modern board games to more people, people who might think initially that those of us who play some many games, go to conventions, etc. are "losers." I enjoy the two hosts and their many guests. They have a great sense of humor and, from my perspective, provide lots of helpful advice for those moments when I am trying to introduce folks to the hobby. Thanks Daron and Darin!

Three people in a room talking about board games. Two men, one woman. Why, in a board game podcast, would there be two dudes joking about their female guest getting out her rape whistle?! Jen seemed super nice and was a good sport about all the awkward, uncomfortable humor from two dudes she didn’t know. The “two D’s” don’t seem like bad dudes but a LOT of that episode was cringey to listen to and not much makes me cringe. When I check out podcasts I’ve never heard before, I always listen to an early episode and a new one. Five years in and the sound is still terrible. Not a show I will be returning to.

Just listened to your first few episodes and wanted to pat you guys on the back! The show is fun and witty and the DDs are very easy to listen to. I'm not a beginner to board games but I think this show has a lot to offer those that are and those who also just love the topic. Great work!
