THAT TIME LIZZ DROVE A STOLEN CAR

Kelly’s getting ready to make her new year’s resolutions on the driveway dump, which includes 12 books to get her out of her reading rut. What’s going on with name consultants on Instagram? Kelly and Lizz would never. Kelly is getting up before her kids for her glamor chores and is taking ten minutes every night to power clean the kitchen. If you’re still struggling with your syllables, too, Kelly has a super helpful tip from a lister.

Black Friday honorable mentions that made the list in today’s last three transactions include Lizz’s 25% off Ruggable, Jungle reptile toys on Amazon for George, and a few classic children’s stories from the antique store. Kelly snagged 30% off ABH cosmetics to build out her secondary makeup bag, bought neon yellow hoodies for Fred and George, and stocked up on her Spanx favorites for 50% off.
In industry news, loan rates are at a 20 year high at 14% APR and Motor Trend reports the most stolen cars and trucks in 2022.
Ditch the drive-through comes from listener Jamie, a delicious chicken and broccoli ring. All you need is a nine ounce can of chunk chicken, two stalks of broccoli, one small onion, one can of cream of chicken soup, a clove of garlic, two cans of Pillsbury crescent rolls, eight ounces of shredded cheddar cheese, and an optional bell pepper. Make a sun ring of rolls, chop up all your ingredients, mix 'em together and spread them around the ring. Fold the crescent rolls in and bake until golden brown.

IT'S GIVING SMARTHOME
It’s the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and Kelly and Lizz are loving the HUSS AND BUSS of the holiday season… even though Lizz thinks Kelly can be a bit of a grinch. Speaking of Grinch, Lizz has a hot take on Grinch themed decorations.
Today’s episode is jam packed with a Millennial Word of the Day, Merriam Webster Word of the Day, Last Three Transactions, Industry News and Ditch the Drive Thru!
The Millennial Word of the Day breaks down the viral TikTok relationship test, the Bird Test. A test you can run on your partner to test your compatibility… what could possibly be toxic about that?!
The girls have been transacting as usual. Lizz’s last three transactions were a 100 year old book of ettiequte, a Bible Study on the Book of Revelation and a bread knife for her sourdough journey. Kelly bought a Hanna Anderson outfit, Lululemon dupe leggings and new period undies!
The Hyundai X Amazon collab is the hottest tea in the auto industry. Kelly and Lizz discuss whether they see ordering a vehicle on Amazon becoming a reality or falling flat.
Ditch the Drive Thru with THICC HAM. Kelly bought thick sliced ham and made FOUR DIFFERENT MEALS for her family with it. Don’t sleep on the thick ham people.
Have a safe and happy thanksgiving! We will see you next Tuesday!

MAKE IT DRIPPY
The upcoming Marine Ball has Lizz ready for a formal affair and Kelly’s gearing up for tours at the New York Auto Show (tickets coming soon!). This episode is full of all of your favorite segments, holiday advice, and a delicious ditch the drive-through you won’t want to miss.
→ Is a Tesla Model Y your daily carpool ride? Then it’s your chance to head over to the Carpool reviews, shout out your ride, and leave a five star rating and review for Kelly and Lizz!
Drippy is today’s millennial word of the day and means an outfit that’s put together. Lately, Kelly’s loving Ettika jewelry from Nordstrom for upgrading her outfits. The gals agree our vocabulary is going down the drain, though, and dive into the word of the day, exigent to get a boost. Marriam Webster’s daily podcast is a quick listen to build your own vocab this week!
In driveway dumps, the Madewell denim recycling program that gives you $20 off your next pair of jeans when you recycle an old pair is seriously impressive. Kelly encourages us to remember that every day you can be a different person – some days you’ll do the most. Yet, you don’t have to do that every day. Lizz has nailed sourdough bread even though her track record is a solid example of Pinterest vs. reality. Kelly’s getting ready to make yummy snacks and homemade treats for Christmas gifts and Lizz is sharing her favorite upscale, but oh so easy to make, dinner for a Marine Corps birthday.
Set your table and make it look darling to elevate your dining experiences this holiday season as an easy base model luxury. Go to the depths of your storage and pull out those fancy dishes you registered for and never use!

"HOT MOM" CAR ADVICE FOR A SINGLE MOM

→ Do you drive an X3 or Atlass Cross Sport? Then it’s your time to shine! Head on over to the reviews, leave Kelly and Lizz five stars, and let them know what you love about the show!
In today’s driveway dumps, Kelly and Lizz lament the decline of comfort shows and suggest giving Schitt’s Creek a chance. The gals are loving the Beckham documentary and are all about the power of a documentary to rebrand a celebrity. Lizz is loving the drama sans romance on Surviving Paradise and Kelly’s almost done reading the Four-Hour Work Week.
“That goes dummy hard” is today’s millennial word meaning exemplary or high quality. This one might be good to know, but Kelly can’t imagine using it anytime soon.
Kelly’s waiting for Boden Black Friday deals and Lizz has her eye on Ruggable rugs. But…when do the good deals actually arrive? No one knows. In the meantime, Lizz is upping her silicone mold game and made a skims haul, Kelly ordered a muted camo vest and Kizik shoes for George, and both placed orders at Express.

In industry news, Kelly has the flip side of last week’s report: the worst resale value cars. Unsurprisingly, luxury Maseratis and BMWs top the list. The 2025 Ram 1500 is reinventing the wheel with a generator for towing, and Lizz has opinions about it. A real life Carpool mom who owns a F150 Lightning writes in with her real experience and real cost numbers.
‘Jen’ is in her single mom era and looking for a ‘hot mom’ car on today’s advice segment. Kelly recommends the Toyota Four-Runner, BMWX3, and Atlas Cross Sport.
Emma writes in with today’s ditch the drive-through, pizza casserole. Cut up a roll of pillsbury biscuits and top with a mixture of a 14 oz jar of marinara and your meat of choice. Cover with mozzarella cheese and bake at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes.

THE INVENTION BOX ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS
Syllables are hard, but Lizz is here to hype Kelly up, keep her out of negative self-talk, and make sure she gets a snack after the show. Need a little mom-love yourself? Listen in!
‘Ate and left no crumbs’ is today’s millennial word of the day. Lizz is digging this alternative to ‘killed it’ and Kelly agrees that this is a cute way to say someone ‘took all the talent and didn’t leave any for the rest of us.’
→ Are you a Honda Pilot driver? Then today is your day to leave the Carpool podcast a five star review and let Kelly and Lizz know what you love about the show!
The invention box has become a motherhood low lift luxury at Kelly’s house. Full of boxes, containers, and tape — it provides a world of possibility to her kiddos on a rainy day.
Lizz is on her green girl journey and Kelly shares she is practicing using things to completion on today’s driveway dumps. A Thrift-mas update and a little rant on baby-specific laundry detergent scams make their way into the dumpity-do-dah’s as well.
Listener Elena submitted her great eight to the Carpool pod. Things we took for granted as kids is the theme and Elena’s childhood picks are: summer break, playing outside, having someone make every meal for you, living with your parents and siblings, getting to see your friends every day at school, the magic of Christmas, not having to pay bills, and ignorance of what goes on in the world. With a little help from Sydney, Kelly and Lizz choose a winner.
Paige has a Crockpot boneless pork chop recipe that’s making today’s ditch the drive-through extra cozy. All you need is one ranch packet, one au jus gravy packet, one pack of boneless pork chops, garlic powder to season with your heart, one can of cream of mushroom, and one can of cream of chicken. Cook on low for six hours and enjoy with your favorite sides.
Kelly dishes her advice on high car payments, getting out of an upside down deal, and how she’d choose a three-across friendly car. She recommends the Honda Odyssey, Honda Pilot, and Subaru Forester as well as the Consumer Reports app and Carfax for verifying the reliability of a vehicle.
In industry news, AM signal interference might change EV radios while saving manufacturer’s billions. Kelly also has news on the ten cars that hold their value and depreciate the least.

BRING BACK THE SKINNY JEAN
Kelly and Lizz are working their other full-time jobs today — keeping their kids clothed — with a trip to Once Upon a Child. They’ll be making a haul and un-hauling some too-small kiddo clothes for cash.
→ Hey Chevy Blazer owners! It’s your turn to share what you love about the show over in the Apple podcast reviews!
Today’s Millennial word is ‘coded’ and Lizz is convinced that ‘adjacent’ does the same job just as well.
In driveway dumps, Lizz is sneaking in one last Blake’s besties baby story from Candace, founder of Gram D’s coffee beans. Listen in for this sweet story and check out this generous family brand that’s giving all of its profits to infant loss causes. Kelly is bringing back skinny jeans and is D-O-N-E with the weird, baggy pants. Heading into 2024 she’s going to be true to her roots.
Base model luxuries are all about the little glam upgrades today. Kelly is loving her Babe Lash Lash Serum (use code Kelly15) and Lash Brag Mascara by Anastasia Beverly Hills. Lizz is a fan of her fake french manicures while Kelly makes a case for having two makeup bags. You might also want to take a note from Kelly’s cookbook by elevating your salads and veggies with some Lemon Olive Oil.
Motherhood wisdom and why it’s worth doing the hard things are featured in today’s fast lane philosophies. And Jen, a former teen and mom of three, writes in to ask about the safety of face-to-face kiddos distracting a driving mama.
Goss goss goss on EVs is flooding industry news again. EV inventory is having a field of dreams moment and MotorTrend announced their SUV of the year.
Lizz shares how she zhuzhed up a frozen pizza and a listener shares her quick and easy sausage and ravioli meal so you can ditch the drive-through tonight.
