How to Wrap a Raft, Stories from R2AK 2019, Ep. 145
This is one in a series of episodes we collected at our live storytelling event last year at the Race to Alaska sendoff party in Port Townsend, Washington. If you are going to wrap your raft while leading a group of 24 goddesses through class III and IV whitewater rapids on the Dolores River in Colorado, you better do it with style.

A Questionable Sunday Swim, Stories from R2AK 2019, Ep. 147
This episode is part of a series of stories we collected at our live storytelling event last year at the Race to Alaska sendoff party in Port Townsend, Washington. Sometimes it takes a refreshing dip in a toxic river to remember why local natural spaces are worth fighting for.

Reports from a Kayaking Trip in Glacier Bay, Stories from R2AK 2019, Ep. 146
This episode is part of a series of stories we collected at our live storytelling event last year at the Race to Alaska sendoff party in Port Townsend, Washington. John Muir, in his journal, wrote that one "should never go to Alaska as a young man (or woman)because you will never be satisfied with any other place as long as you live." In this story Larry Layman shares some observations from a kayaking trip in Glacier Bay that lend much truth to Muir's sentiments.

Kayaking in Alaska, Stories from R2AK 2019, Ep. 144
For the next few episodes we’ll be sharing some of the incredible stories that we collected at our live storytelling event last year at the Race to Alaska sendoff party in Port Townsend, Washington. Race to Alaska has been cancelled for 2020 so we’re hoping these stories will keep the intrepid and eccentric spirit of R2AK alive while we eagerly await its return next year. All the stories from this event were centered around the theme of water; this story is about a wild and somewhat harrowing overnight kayaking adventure in Alaska.

Amazing Adventures!
I love these podcasts. They are so much fun to listen to! I am inspired by hearing about all the amazing adventures!
Lame stories
I have more interesting stories from last weekend! Who is filtering these people telling stories? I listened to a girl dealing w puking while swimming and another girl who got lost for 15 minutes looking for her camp in woods. NOT INTERESTING AT ALL!!!
Turned political and less about adventures
I liked the adventure stories and wish the host kept it to just that. But the host tried to find a way to tie in people’s agendas and personal missions into adventures. Not saying some of those agendas aren’t noble but they don’t tie in.
The last straw was when the host and a guest speaker claimed Mexico is safer than America because there’s less guns in Mexico. Are you kidding me? Guns aren’t dangerous honey, people are. If the general public don’t have guns in Mexico then only the bad people have them. That doesn’t sound safer to me. Because this podcast turned political with uninformed commentary it lost all credibility and interest. You should have stuck to adventures.
