We talk about getting stranded on the island of Socotra for months during the global pandemic - exploring the Nubian flats and reefs of Sudan for giant trevally, triggerfish, napoleon wrasse, and parrotfish. We talk chasing monster bluefin tuna on spin gear and fishing the crystal clear flats of the Los Roques Archipeligo.
Nicola of Italy and Johan of Norway are two of the most diehard adventurers and anglers i've had the pleasure of talking to so far. You absolutely must check out there stuff at Wild Sea Expedition!

Episode 61: Out of the Desk and Into the Dream, with Matthew Podobinski
This week international guide Matthew Podobinski joins the podcast to talk about his broad range of travels across the world as a guide. Matthew's story is unique, having found himself behind the desk of a deeply unsatisfying job, he left behind a career path headed nowhere to pursue his passion. As a lifelong outdoorsman and angler, Podobinski began guiding as a white water raft instructor - where the skills he gained traversing difficult rivers, certifications in first aid, and experience as an angler made him an ideal candidate for guide lodges.
Matthew has since guided in Alaska, India, Central and South America, Asia and too many places to name! He is an outstanding angler, guide, and story teller!

Episode 59: Earning Your Stripes on Montauk, with Brandon Sausele
Brandon Sausele is a 7 time Montauk Surfmasters Champion and diehard surfcaster. Donning a wetsuit, he enters the turbulent waters of the Montauk surf at odd hours... hopping, wading, and even swimming through dangerous waters to find far reaching rocks to get enough of a foothold to launch a cast. In this episode we talk about the dedication and hours of commitment needed to find bite windows, ideal conditions, and patterns to find that coveted trophy striped bass. This is certainly one of the most hard core anglers that has joined the podcast thus far!

Premium fishing content
This is the best fishing podcast, without a doubt. From covering the under appreciated species, the local and obtainable monsters and the trips that are aspirational this podcast has it all. With the podcast market dominated by trout fly fishing and bass world, it’s nice to finally find a home and learn about the variety the world of angling has to offer.
Excellent
David’s ability to deliver details makes you feel like you are right there with him.
Best podcast on fishing in a while
Highly entertaining conversation for anyone at all interested fishing - but maybe more importantly, telling the story of the larger experiences - both good and bad- that fishing brings us into.
