Inclusive true crime stories.

I stopped listening to other true crime podcasts except for this one. This podcast shares important stories of missing/murdered people from all backgrounds. This show feels inclusive and brings visibility to communities who are often ignored when someone goes missing or is killed. The episodes are obviously scripted but it makes it more polished and professional. I’d rather listen to a scripted and well researched show than other unscripted shows that have ramblings and tangents. I appreciate the seriousness they bring to each case, where someone is missing or killed. Thank you all for what you do!

Used to be good

Ok I didn’t realize this before but it seems like in every episode the police are blamed for a case not being solved or for lacking evidence.. kind of tedious considering the other factors involved in the cases.

Changes to show feel like a different show entirely

I’ve been following Crime Junkie from their beginning stages and have noted a very noticeable decline in the quality of their episodes. Some of them are “Crime” related but not in the ways they used to be. And while it’s important to share information they’ve delved into a lot of non-U.S. stories and the majority of their episodes are now about unsolved cases. These things wouldn’t be dealbreakers for me but the scripts have changed so much. It’s lots of questions with obvious answers and weirdly naive/uninformed responses despite both of these women being amazing professionals who have obviously been doing this for awhile. I felt like I needed to take a step back and ended up unfollowing for now. Not sure if they’re being stretched thin for time/material with all the new podcasts they keep releasing but i hope to see them return to the amazing material they're capable of.
