How to ‘change’ the color of your skin through your mindset

How to ‘change’ the color of your skin through your mindset

Dr. Canute White talks with Tony El (February 27, 2024)

Tony finds the question of "why" fascinating because seemingly so many people today are terrified to ask "why". Why are things the way that they are? Why am I being told something that I believe to be true, something that I have seen/heard, is wrong? etc... That is the word that he wears on his shirt sleeve like gold. According to my guest, “America is the only nation
whose Constitution, founding documents, recognizes the god-ordained right for us to freely think and express our thoughts. The problem is that so many choose not to.” #blackhistory #America #mindset

A story of homelessness, addiction, and mental illness at its worst

Dr. Canute White talks with Ryan Gray as he shares his story of homelessness (Unhoused), addition, and mental illness. (February 2024)

Ryan Gray attended the University of North Carolina Asheville (UNCA) to study literature and graduated in 2016. He is currently pursuing a career in behavioral health as a peer support specialist. He is self-supporting (financially and otherwise) despite severe schizophrenia, depression, ADHD, and anxiety. Ryan has been
unusually close to his family ever since he got clean 15 years ago. He credits his recovery to the encouragement of many people along the way, including nurses, social workers, counselors, and doctors, sponsors, and fellow AA members. #addiction #mentalillness #homelessness

The ghost of addiction: Did you try to cut your mother's head off?

The ghost of addiction: Did you try to cut your mother's head off?

Dr. Canute White sits with Ryan Penley to share his story (February  2024)

With more than four years of hard-won sobriety, Ryan has transformed his life's adversities into valuable lessons for those still struggling with addiction. Today, he lives a life that is unimaginably blessed, exceeding even his own expectations. His debut book, "Man Up. Sober Up.," serves as both a testament to his resilience and a practical guide for those seeking to reclaim
control over their lives. More than a survivor, Ryan is a beacon of hope for those still battling their demons. He demonstrates that from the depths of despair, it is indeed possible to forge a life filled with purpose and joy. #addiction #Sobriety #blackhistorymonth

Did you try to cut your mother's head off? Hear the answer to this question and more as my guest tells his side of the story. His story!

Addiction, divorce, death of his mother: What more can a man takes?

Addiction, divorce, death of his mother: What more can a man takes?

Dr. Canute White talks with Dominic Meattey (January 23, 2024)

My guest grew up in a small town in NH. His parents were drug addicts and got clean, but his mother died when he was a teenager from Hepatitis C. So, Dominic’s father raised him
and his brother. He went to college to play baseball and football. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree and then got a masters. After graduating, he went to work for his family business and then got married a few years later to his ‘ex-wife’: They were together for about 13 years before getting divorced. While going through the divorce, he quit drinking. The marriage created a beautiful daughter. Now, according to my guest, “I’m on the path of creating the best me possible for my loved ones and my people” #addiction #alcohol #parenting

You will not believe this! Let’s ‘Rose’ for social change

You will not believe this! Let’s ‘Rose’ for social change

Dr. Canute White talks with Juliet Rose, a multi award-winning author of nine novels (January 23, 2024)

By the time she was ten years old Juliet Rose knew she wanted to be a writer. She entertained neighborhood kids with her stories after school and with the support of her mother got her first typewriter. Life had other plans and after the death of her mother when Juliet was eleven, she put those dreams on hold. Over the
decades she has picked up the proverbial pen time and again, writing about her life experiences including the cancer diagnosis and subsequent passing of her four-year-old daughter. Focusing on fiction currently, she is driven to bring to life characters from many walks of life and the struggles faced in modern society.
Her writing style is open and fluid, giving the characters the ability to shine as the truth of their own story. Her works are honest and sometimes brutally painful but in the end her characters are given the voice that needs to be heard. Juliet is a New York native living in the mountains of Georgia. She has lived all over the United States and Mexico and doesn’t plan to stop seeing the
world beyond her front doorstep. She spends her time rescuing animals, painting, and writing. Her dream is to get an RV to explore hidden gems and find the best vegan restaurants. #socialissues #family #authors
