Dangerous Teaching on LGBTQ Youth
The episode on working with LGBTQ youth, as good intentioned as it might be, is rife with misinformation, misunderstanding, and stark ignorance around sexual and gender minorities. The “coaches” make the classic but destructive error that one must either be Christian or LGBTQ. It’s clear that the young woman presenting her experience working with LGBTQ youth does not truly understand what she is taking about. This type of misinformation (that is geared toward other leaders working with LGBTQ youth) can lead to disastrous effects, including suicide. Please, please, please get some education on LGBTQ issues before speaking on issues you do not understand so you don’t spread any more misinformation. Lives are at stake here.
