David was born in the Sacramento area, where his homeschooling journey began right away. He spent preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1-8 being tutored and educated by his parents and friends with-in their homeschooling community.
A typical school day would start like most kids, he and his brother would get their daily assignments starting with their favorite subject mathematics. It was after their core learning subjects such as math, grammar, and sciences that things would take a different and more unregulated turn for the day.
"My mom would hand me a list of books to read with a writing assignment and basically send me on my way for the day.",says David
David would read the Bible and history books cover to cover, old literature stories about Greek mythology and poetry. It was during this time he discovered a true love for learning.
David says, "going to school and getting an education are not always the same thing, I believe you truly start being educated when you discover a love for learning."
David is now currently pursuing a career in the film and marketing industry, and is also serving in the Army National Guard. He believes one of the greatest gifts of homeschooling is developing individual thought and a true relationship with a mighty and living God.
