Christ Community Church
It Doesn’t Get Any Better
My wife and I came out of the 1960’s Hippydom in ‘72 &. ‘73 to become “Jesus Freaks,” became active at Vanderbilt and ETSU respectfully, became Wycliffe Bible Translators, and have been involved in many more ministries since.
My failures through all of that and until now seem to me to be greater than any small successes, and I share all of this for one reason: I’ve seen a lot.
We have seen and experienced and encountered literally hundreds of churches and preachers in our 50 years of walking, er, stumbling with the Lord, kept only by the grace and goodness of our glorious triune God.
So I believe. It just doesn’t get any better than the community, godliness, leadership, ministries, preaching (especially Jim Powell’s), and pastoring found at CCC.
I give it ********** (10 stars).
Check it out. But remember, as I believe the above, Christ Community is a group of men and women so don’t put any of them on a pedestal. They too are weak struggling humans and are bound to disappoint if you hold them too high.
Just do as they do. Hold only Jesus high snd you can’t go wrong.
