Christian Outdoors Podcast is owned and operated by Christian Outdoor Adventures, Inc. a 501c3 non-profit operating in Taylors, SC.
In 2019, after a lot of prayer and research, founder and host, Pete Rogers launched Christian Outdoors Podcast with one drive and mission. “To talk about all things outdoors and how to enjoy God every day.”
Through his 25 years as an outdoor writer, author, and speaker. Pete learned that any of the folks in the outdoor arena were Christians without a platform to express their faith. Cable television shied away from overt or subtle mentions of Christianity. Publications were clear, that no mention of God, much less Jesus was not allowed. This left a void for many who live for Christ but who also need to make a living with their product(s).
On October 1, 2019, the first episode was released with the commitment to release one episode a week for one full year and then re-evaluate. After that first year, the momentum was slow, but Pete felt that he needed to keep going.
The model is simple; Pete interviews stakeholders in the outdoor community and they discuss their passion for the outdoors, and we follow that with a discussion about their individual faith journey. On a regular basis, Pete will bring in two pastors who share his passion, tackle tough theological issues, and share their insight into what the Bible says about that particular subject.
Pete has a deep passion for the outdoors, spending more than 200 days a year in the outdoors, hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing wherever he can. But his passion for sharing the good news of Jesus is what drives him to continue to grow the podcast and reach as many people as he can through this medium.
We are just getting started, and with God’s blessing, and the support of key partners, this ministry will continue to grow and reach folks with the good news of Jesus.

246- Upland Hunting the West. with Pastor Gavin Roberts
Here at Christian Outdoors we like to talk about a lot of different subjects and today is no different. Today we have with us Pastor Gavin Roberts of Utah and his passion is hunting upland birds of the west. For those of us who live in the east, that includes birds such as pheasants, spruce grouse, ruffed grouse, valley quail, gambrels quail, California quail and chucker.
THis variety of game birds allows Gavin to travel all through the west chasing different birds in a variety of terrain with his German Shorthair dogs.
We also learn of his ministry in northern Utah.

There is little question that God allows peoples paths to cross at the right time in our lives. This is the case with today's guests Rob "Breezy" Henson and Cush Arrue. the owners and foudners of Apex Mountain, a full production company in South Florida. Their story of how they came to Christ, and their company is one that you do not want to miss. This show moved me in so many ways. As we talked, I could feel the presence of God with us and we felt the holy Spirit moving. Listen to this show, and know that God is real, his passion for you is real, and His desire to have a relationship with you is real. Rob and Cush are two guys that love Jesus with an infectious love that makes you WANT to be a part of it.

243 - BONUS - Devotions By Christian Outdoors - Hello God Its Me Again
How important is prayer? This is one of the questions we get a lot, and we hear a lot of folks talking about prayer. How do we pray? Is there a right way? Is it formal or casual?
To put it simply, prayer is our time to talk to God...in this time we need to know we have God's undivided attention and we need to use the time to thank him, ask for forgiveness, and to let him know our deepest desires and concerns.
I cannot remember where I heard it, but it stuck with me when a pastor preached on prayer and he suggested to do it like this; Thank you, Sorry, Please. We begin by thnaking God for all of our blessings, both big and small. Then we let Him know we are sorry for our failuers and sins, and lastly we ask Him for our hearts desires. This simple method makes praying easier and more focused.
Today we dive into this method and the reasoining of why we pray. -
242 - The Push for Conservation with The Wild Life Outdoors
The podcast world is inundated with shows about hunting, fishing and more. We here at Christian Outdoors are part of them. But today's guest, Russell Reynolds is taking a different approach to the outdoor podcast with a focus on conservation.
Sure many other podcasts also focus on conservation, but this one is different, and today we hear why and how Wild Life Outdoors is different. We also get to hear a great story of a life changed when Russell recently became a Christian and dedicated his life to Christ. As a single dad in today's world, having teh grace and help of God is essential to fight off the attacks on ourselves and our children.
