    5 Top Tools I Use In My Business

    This week, I wanted to share with you what started out as 5 but turned into 9 top tools I use in my business.
    When I first started in online business back in 2014, I was still working 2 jobs while trying to do the online business thing.
    So I needed to find a way to set everything up as smartly as possible so I wasn’t wasting what precious time I had on tasks that could be automated.
    Most of these tools have been with me since the beginning and I LOVE using them and having them. Once they are all set up, they run like a well oiled machine and have served me SO well and saved me thousands of hours.
    1. Gmail – I have all my business emails forwarded to one Gmail account so I am only going to one place to check everything. I also have the email account set up in there so that I can send from those emails too.
    2. Acuity Scheduling – My online calendar I use for people to set up all their appointments with me.
    It works out everything in their time zone, so there’s no back a forth trying to work it all out.
    It’s linked with my Active Campaign and Zoom, (so each appointment is given it’s own Zoom link automatically) and it also sends reminders via email (you can upgrade to SMS if you wish).
    I also use it to take payments for people wanting to book in for mentoring.
    3. Active Campaign – I use to send all our automated emails out to clients. It’s very powerful and set up logically so your brain doesn’t hurt too much when you’re setting automations up.
    4. Trello – The glue that holds our team together. We have all our tasks set up in Trello which means we all know what’s going on and who is doing what. We have boards set up for our podcast, weekly routines and Ad Hoc tasks.
    I will be sharing how my Trello board works and looks in an up coming Business Bundle in the CWIB Membership. (Same will all the tools actually ;-))
    5. Website – We use a WordPress website and a mixture of plugins to make it the platform it is today.
    BONUS –
    Content Snare – To get information from people, it’s sends them automated emails to remind them to do the task 🙂 we have just started using this and we use it in the following ways…
    To get content from speakers for our events
    To get blog articles back
    To get magazine articles
    PLUS anytime we need to get information back from clients.
    Zoom – We all know how good Zoom is 😉
    Dropbox – To save everything in the cloud so I can access it anywhere
    ThriveCart – To take all our payments, Thrive Cart is amazing and you only have to pay for it once and use it for a life time.
    You can set up split payments, recurring subscriptions, one off payments and it integrates with Stripe beautifully unlike WooCommerce so you can make edits to subscriptions very easily.
    Something that was a huge pain when we used WooCommerce Subscriptions.

    How Do We Rest In God When We're Just Not Feeling It At The Moment?

    In this week’s podcast, Sj talks about resting in God when we are not just feeling it at the moment – how do we get out of this funk or burnout? How do we walk the marathon and not do the sprint? She shares some reset points to encourage us to rest in God even when we’re in a funk! Have a listen♥️
    1. Sit down for some prayer time, grab a beverage of choice and bring out your calendar.
    2. Pray and ask for God to give you strength and for Him to pray for you.
    3. Look at why you originally started your journey. If it’s your business, what’s your mission, for example, mine is to encourage women. To remind yourself why you’re doing what you’re doing.
    4. Set yourself some new goals. Spend some time working the goals out and getting excited about them. Put times in your calendar.
    5. Pray some more and sit with God.
    6. Know & trust that God has still got you, even when you’re in a funk.

    Today we are joined by a very special lady from the USA, Lexi Bozarth. She’s the founder of WINECOURAGE.  As a busy mom of two – she wanted a way to connect and grow deeper in her faith and community. She loves hosting women in her home with the heart of welcoming all faith walks and backgrounds. She deeply desires for women to be known through friendships, encouraged, and give an opportunity to accept the love so freely given to them by our Savior Jesus. WineCourage is a combination of Jesus + wine.  WineCourage creates welcoming and fun spaces for women to encounter Jesus through social gatherings with a purpose. 
    Her 5 Top Tips: 
    Building Community – Find your community, that relates to your values, and who you are that will support you. Look for common ground. Welcoming – be welcoming where you can so people feel not judged Hospitably and generosity – What sets you apart Communication – Make sure we’re balancing truth and grace with the ones around. Growth – A sign of a healthy community, is that you’re growing together.

    How To Recover From Things As A Leader

    In this video, I go through examples of how I (and you) can avoid the “low” in our leadership and business journey after launches, conferences, events, anything big really lol.
    RECAP…
    Pre-Event/project:
    + Block out your calendar to event/project meetings only
    + Rest and don’t do any stressful exercise
    + Eat good food and carbs
    + Say no to everything else during that time (I take at least 3/4 months off from doing other business ventures ie The Automation Girl.
    + Already have your new goal set or thing to work towards after event.
    During the event/project:
    + Eat good food the best you can
    + Don’t expect a lot from yourself apart to perform at the event (no meetings and no stressful exercise (stretch and breathing is AWESOME!)
    (Introverted leaders)
    + No people at least 3 days before the event if you can
    + Between sessions, find a room where you can be alone, eat alone and have a nap. Just be in a place where it’s quiet and no interaction with others.
    Post-event/project:
    + Have time off for as long as you need
    + Be kind to yourself and listen to your body (grace zone) don’t let people push you back to “work” before you’re ready.
    + Start thinking about the goal/project you set yourself before the said event/project and start dreaming up ideas for it.
    Week 3 post-event/project you will hopefully feel back to yourself and ready to go.
    I hope you find this helpful and gives you permission to find out what works for you and your body/personality.
    It’s all a forever learning journey with no destination, just more opportunities to grow our faith and trust in ourselves.
